Meeting for Worship on the Occasion of Business

Present were Timmy Bullock, Allison Levie, Priscilla Tracy, Lucie McKee, Auberta Galusha, Eliza Navias-Bell, Edward Cady and Juliet Wright

The minutes for meeting for business for November 17, 2019 were read.
2019-51 Priscilla Tracy reported on behalf of ministry and counsel.
2019-52 Meeting for business affirms the memorial minute written by Eliza Navias-Bell and expresses our gratitude for her hard work. There may be minor factual changes and slight additions, all to be finalized by Saturday, December 21, 2019. Fifty copies will be designed and printed by Staples.
2019-53 Meeting for business thanks Eliza for her draft response to Rosemary Zimmerman’s resignation letter. We will edit it to reflect the meetings revisions.
2019-54 Alison Levie reported on behalf of the ad hoc committee to discern the priorities for disbursement of the approximately $4,000.00 cash during the current year. The committee will meet and report back as soon as they can.
2019-55 Alison Levie reported on Northwest Quarterly Meeting.
2019-56 Auberta Galusha reported on behalf of Interfaith Council.
After a period of silent worship, the meeting adjourned.

Minutes for Emergency Called Ministry and Counsel

Present were Auberta Galusha, Timmy Bullock and Juliet Wright
The subject for our meeting was Bain’s Memorial.
Ministry and counsel recognizes that we are breaking with good Quaker process, but the Davis family has pressed for an early Memorial Meeting for Bain on either December 22, 2019, or January 5, 2020. We see January 5 as the only possible date.

Pastoral concerns discussed.
19-20 Ministry and Counsel considered Bain’s Memorial Meeting for Worship. Tasks that lie ahead of us are: ascertaining the exact time, number of attendees, and the writing of the memorial minute.
19-21 Ministry and Counsel suggests discussing the draft email that Eliza proposed regarding Rosemary Zimmerman’s letter of resignation.
