Meeting for Worship on the Occasion of Business
Held at the Senior Citizens’ Service Center,
Bennington, VT
December 16, 2018
Present were Timmy Bullock, clerk, Juliet Wright, Priscilla Tracy, Eliza Navias-Bell, Lucie McKee, Dorothea Izzo and Auberta Galusha
Out of the silence, the clerk read the above quotation.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved with corrections.
2018-48 Priscilla Tracy reported on behalf of ministry and counsel.
2018-47 Meeting for business approves holding a reflective discussion on the Faith and Practice Revisions on pastoral care on the fourth Sunday of February, February 24, 2019. We will specifically look at how this text compares with our current Faith and Practice.
2018-48 Meeting for business authorizes $6,000.00 from the Ross legacy gift to be distributed to BROC, with specific reference to housing support. The remainder of the gift, $2,950.56 will be transferred into our sufferings budget.
2018-49 Meeting for business notes that the clerk has been in touch with Ruah Swennerfelt and Louis Cox in regards to leading a one-day retreat on John Woolman. The clerk has also been in touch with the new families about a date in April or May for this retreat.
2018-50 Auberta Galusha reported on behalf of the Interfaith Council.
The meeting closed with silent worship.

Pastoral concerns discussed.
18-20 Ministry and Counsel recommends holding a reflective discussion on the Faith and Practice Revisions on pastoral care on the fourth Sunday of February, 24, 2019. We will specifically look at how this text compares with our current Faith and Practice.
18-21 Ministry and Counsel authorizes the clerk to be in touch with Ruah Swennerfelt and Louis Cox in regards to leading a one-day retreat on John Woolman, with a specific orientation of working with the new families.
18-22 Ministry and Counsel recommends that we authorize the $6,000.00 from the legacy gift to be distributed to BROC, with specific reference to housing support.
18-23 Ministry and Counsel asks that we remind ourselves to observe good Quaker order during meeting for worship on the occasion of business.
