Meeting for Worship on the Occasion of Business

January 21, 2018
Present were Timmy Bullock, Juliet Wright, Priscilla Tracy, Auberta Galusha, and Eliza Navias-Bell

We can wait, for we do not expect that we should immediately understand each question from within or have a response to each query from without…. Being able to wait enables us to listen. We are good listeners when others have something to say, …. But even more, we are good listeners to our own inner voices which often speak slowly and indistinctly.

The minutes for meeting for business for November 19, 2017 were read and approved.
2018-01 Priscilla Tracy reported on behalf of Ministry and Counsel.
2018-02 Meeting for business approves contributing $200.00 towards honorariums for the presenters at the Quarterly Meeting we are co-hosting at Poultney in March. The $200.00 will be charged to the Ministry and Counsel budget line.
2018-03 Eliza Navias-Bell reported on behalf of the finance committee.
2018-04 Meeting for business approves all of the recommendations from the finance committee: sufferings budget to be increased to $300.00 for 2018; one-time additional $500.00 contributions to FCNL, AFSC, and Right Sharing of World Resources. We also approve the treasurer distributing all required contributions for 2018.
2018-05 Auberta Galusha reported on behalf of Interfaith Council.
2018-06 Meeting for business asks that the clerk be in touch with New England Yearly Meeting office to acquire articles that might be appropriate for the Speaking of Religion column in the Bennington Banner. The clerk will also be in touch with Joseph Tracy about a possible column.
After a period of silent worship, the meeting adjourned.

Present were Priscilla Tracy, Timmy Bullock, clerk ex-officio, Auberta Galusha and Juliet Wright
Pastoral concerns discussed.
18-1 Ministry and Counsel recommends contributing $200.00 towards honorariums for the presenters at the Quarterly Meeting we are co-hosting at Poultney in March. The $200.00 should be charged to the Ministry and Counsel budget line.
