2016-40 Meeting approves holding a series of discussions on the draft version of the NEYM Faith and Practice, and approves the purchase of several copies of the interim version for the use of meeting members and will request any new additional chapters. Ministry and Counsel will develop a schedule for the discussions. Any feedback that may arise out of those discussions will be passed along to the revision committee.
2016-41 Meeting is choosing to incorporate the John Dear article into our discussion of the NEYM Faith and Practice pacifism section, rather than holding a separate discussion.

Minutes for Ministry and Counsel
Sunday, October 30, 2016
Present were Timmy Bullock, clerk ex-officio, Auberta Galusha and Juliet Wright
Pastoral concerns discussed
16-20 Ministry and Counsel is considering the membership application from Lucie McKee and is in the process of determining the make-up of Lucie’s clearness committee.
16-21 Ministry and Counsel suggests that we study and reflect on the draft New England Faith and Practice, chapter by chapter throughout the coming year. This study could take place over a series of post potluck discussions.
16-22 Ministry and Counsel recommends reading and having a post potluck discussion on the Bennington Banner article by John Dear that encouraged the Pope to initiate a return to the pacifist tradition of the early Christian Church.
