2015-35 Meeting for business approves the disbursement of $50.00 to Powell House for the support of Juliet Wright’s attendance at the Quaker 12 Step Retreat in December.
2015-36 Meeting for business approves having our annual Christmas party at the home of Timmy Bullock on Sunday, December 20, 2015. Friends are asked to acknowledge and/or reflect on their follow through on the topic from last year which was “What are we hoping to bring forth in the dark months of the coming year.” We also propose reflections on the following questions: “What role does the life and works of Jesus play in your life? Is there a particular teaching that speaks to you?”
2015-37 Timmy Bullock and Joseph Tracy are meeting next Saturday to begin composing a letter to the Quarter about our retreat.
2015-38 Meeting for business approves continuing to discern the viability of a vacation program on permaculture for children in 2017.
2015-39 Meeting for business approves having copies made and handed out of the Advices and Queries Comparison document that outlines the differences between the 1985 Faith and Practice Advices and Queries and the Interim 2014 Faith and Practice. We suggest a two part discussion: in part one this document will be read and discussed; in part two we will determine out next steps.

Minutes for Ministry and Counsel

Present were Priscilla Tracy, Timmy Bullock, clerk ex-officio, Auberta Galusha, and Juliet Wright
Pastoral concerns discussed
15-18 Ministry and Counsel recommends authorizing a $50.00 contribution towards the $230.00 cost for the December 4, 5, and 6 Powell House 12 Step Retreat for Juliet Wright.
15-19 Ministry and Counsel recommends holding the annual Christmas party on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Timmy Bullocks house. We propose reflections on the following questions: “What role does the life and works of Jesus play in your life? Is there a particular teaching that speaks to you?”
15-20 Ministry and Counsel is still struggling with how to compose a letter to the Quarter about our retreat. We are seeking to see if a couple of members will work on a draft of a letter.
15-21 Ministry and Counsel is discerning the viability of a vacation program on permaculture for children in 2017. Funding would be sought from the Legacy Gift Funds Grant Program of NEYM.
15-22 On the basis of a letter from the Wilderness Friends Meeting, Ministry and Counsel suggests a discussion based on the differences between the 1985 Faith and Practice Advices and Queries and the Interim 2014 Faith and Practice.
