Bennington Friends Meeting
Meeting for Worship on the Occasion of Business
Held at the Senior citizens Service Center,
Bennington, Vermont
May 19, 2013
Present Timmy Bullock, Clerk, Beth Cheadle, Eliza Navias-Bell, Priscilla Tracy, Arnold Ricks, Auberta Galusha, Dorothea Izzo and Juliet Wright.
I find that I have little to say about the techniques of ministry; instead, I am led to speak, as I often have before, about the ground out of which all ministry flows. It is good to remember that all ministry is one, and should flow from the same source. This is true of what we call ministry in a meeting for worship just as it should be true of everything which happens in a meeting – for worship – for business, for in that meeting we are ministering through our decisions either to ourselves or to the world beyond us….

2013-14 Meeting for business reviewed our process for forwarding information to our members and attenders who do not have email. The clerk will be sure to telephone Bain Davis with any Google Group email information.
2013-15 Meeting for business approves making a contribution of $200.00 to BROC-Community Action in Southwestern Vermont to provide for packs of vegetable seedlings for the Bennington Garden Fund. Meeting for business authorizes taking this $200.00 from the special appeals budget line item.
2013-16 Because two members will be attending Quarterly Meeting on June 1 -2, we are postponing the post-potluck discussion on Integrity to July potluck.
2013-17 those who participated in the “Creation” evening with the Bennington College Interfaith Group thought the evening went very well. We ask that the clerk be in touch with David Black and Corina Dalzell for the names of students who most likely be very active in the Interfaith Group in the coming year.
2013-18 Auberta Galusha reported on behalf of the Interfaith Council.
After a brief period of silent worship, the meeting adjourned.
