Bennington Friends Meeting for Worship for the conduct of Business
Held at the Senior Citizens Service Center, Bennington, Vermont
September 16, 2012
Present: Timmy Bullock, Clerk; Juliet Wright, Recording Clerk; Beth Cheadle, Arnold Ricks, Priscilla Tracy, Auberta Galusha, Eliza Navias-Bell, Nick Buttino, and Sonya Burdge.

2012-45 The recording clerk read the minutes for meeting for business August 19, 2012, which were approved. They are appended.
2012-46 Priscilla Tracy reported on behalf of Ministry and Counsel.
2012-47 Meeting for business approved the final program for the October 6 retreat.
2012-48 In preparation for the December quarterly meeting, the meeting will view the movie on Cuba the fifth Sunday of September.
2012-50 Meeting for business recommends that we make a contribution of 540.00 to GBICS, with an additional 60.00 for administrative expenses. We recommend that if our contributions meet those of 2011, we contribute an additional 200.00 to GBICS. We will make this determination after our end-of-year report.
2012-51 Auberta Galusha reported on behalf of Interfaith Council.
The clerk read a thank you note fromWoolman Hill.
After a brief period of silent worship, the meeting adjourned.

Minutes for Ministry and Counsel
Sunday, September 9, 2012
Present were Priscilla Tracy, clerk, Timmy Bullock, clerk ex-officio, Beth Cheadle, Auberta Galusha and Juliet Wright
Pastoral concerns were discussed.
12-12 We are recommending following the outline of the retreat schedule, approved as amended in the August meeting for business. Ministry and Counsel is bringing that schedule, with slight changes, to meeting for business for final approval. We anticipate bringing a copy of Faith and Practice, our bookmarks and copies of the glossary to the retreat in Poultney.
13-12 Ministry and Counsel recommends that we view the film on Cuba, available through Maryann St. John, at our October meeting for business. Our goal is to review the film in order to see whether we recommend showing the film and using it as a basis for discussion at the December Northwest Quarterly Meeting.
